The name is quite literally what it stands for. --- - the semicolon A mark a writer uses when a sentence could have ended, but they chose to continue it instead. It's become an international symbol for mental health recovery, and it sits at the center of this name on purpose. It's green color represents the international color for mental health awareness. --- - dot com The businesses under this roof, starting with Caveman Decor, live and sell entirely online. "Dot Com" is the plainest way to describe the work. ##### ABOUT ME ![631240914\_10173217513225391\_698250121048764122\_n](https://www.dotcommalimited.com/hs-fs/hubfs/631240914_10173217513225391_698250121048764122_n.jpg?width=506&height=676&name=631240914_10173217513225391_698250121048764122_n.jpg "631240914_10173217513225391_698250121048764122_n") #### Michael Smitley, Founder --- I run Dot Comma Ltd as a holding company, built to house Caveman Decor and whatever comes after it. The strategy, the marketing, the fulfillment, the late nights, all of it runs through me, along side a full time job. I got into ecommerce looking for a way to take control of my own path, and a creative outlet for two things I've always been drawn to: graphic design and building websites. Caveman Decor came out of that search. I wanted to make art for a space that matters to a lot of men but rarely gets any real design attention, their own personal corner of the house, and I built it around a market I understand firsthand, because I'm part of it myself. Running it happens on top of a traditional Monday through Friday, nine to five. Most days start after that day job ends: building and monitoring ad campaigns, fulfilling orders, and working through whatever else the business needs that day. It's a lot of hours stacked on top of a full schedule, but it's mine. As Caveman Decor grew, it made sense to build something bigger underneath it. Dot Comma Ltd exists to give that growth room, a structure built for more than one brand, so whatever comes after Caveman Decor has a place to go. ![Dot Comma Logo-1](https://www.dotcommalimited.com/hubfs/Dot%20Comma%20Logo-1.png "Dot Comma Logo-1") ##### WHY THE SEMICOLON #### A story of continuing, not ending --- The semicolon has become a shared symbol of mental health recovery, popularized by the Project Semicolon movement: a mark placed instead of a period, when the sentence could have stopped there, but goes on. That idea is personal to me, and it's why this company carries it in its name instead of a footnote. If you or someone you know is struggling, you don't have to carry it alone.
